How Much Does SEO Cost in Pakistan? (2026 Pricing Guide)

SEO cost in Pakistan: rupee coin stacks, SEO service blocks and an SEO results dashboard on a desk

In 2026, the SEO cost in Pakistan mostly falls between PKR 25,000 and PKR 120,000 per month, based on prices Pakistani SEO providers publish. Basic plans start around PKR 25,000–50,000, mid-range plans run about PKR 55,000–120,000, and large or enterprise projects start at roughly PKR 130,000 and can go past PKR 250,000. Where you land depends on how wide an area you target, how competitive your industry is, what condition your website is in, and how much content and link building the work needs.

A note on the figures: the ranges below come from prices Pakistani SEO providers publish on their own websites, collected in September 2026. They are self-published vendor prices, not an independent market survey. Treat them as a reference point, not a fixed rate card.

SEO Prices in Pakistan at a Glance (2026)

Most published SEO prices in Pakistan are monthly retainers. Here is how the published prices break down, first by plan tier and then by type of provider:

CategoryTypical published monthly price (PKR)Usually suits
Plan tier: Basic25,000 – 50,000Local visibility: Google Business Profile, core on-page fixes, a handful of target keywords
Plan tier: Mid-range55,000 – 120,000Businesses competing city-wide or nationally, with ongoing content and technical work
Plan tier: Enterprise / large-scale130,000 – 250,000+Large sites, eCommerce catalogues, multiple locations or highly competitive industries
Provider: Freelancer20,000 – 50,000Single-location businesses with a small site and a limited keyword list
Provider: Agency50,000 – 120,000Businesses that need technical, content and link-building work together

The ranges overlap. A freelancer’s upper range and an agency’s entry plan often cost about the same, so the price alone won’t tell you what you’re getting. The scope of work will.

What Affects SEO Pricing in Pakistan?

Four factors that affect SEO cost in Pakistan: target area, industry competition, website size and content needs

Two businesses can be quoted very different prices for “SEO” because the job behind that word is different. These are the four factors that move the price most.

Local vs National vs International Targeting

Local SEO means showing up for searches in a specific area, such as “dentist in DHA Lahore” or “AC repair Gulberg”. The work centres on your Google Business Profile, local keywords, reviews and location-specific pages. Because the competition is limited to one area, it is usually the least expensive type of SEO.

National SEO targets customers across Pakistan, for example an online store shipping to every city. You compete with more websites for broader keywords, which means more content, more technical work and usually some link building.

International SEO targets customers outside Pakistan and often means competing with established sites in the US, UK or elsewhere. It typically needs the most content and authority-building of the three.

Competition in Your Industry

A bakery in one Lahore neighbourhood and a property portal targeting all of Pakistan face very different competition. In crowded industries such as real estate, education, healthcare and eCommerce, the top results are often held by sites that have invested in SEO for years. Catching up takes more work each month, so it costs more.

A practical check: search your main service plus your city on Google. If the first page is mostly large, well-known brands with long, detailed pages, expect to need a mid-range budget or higher.

Website Size and Technical Condition

A 5-page brochure site takes far less work than an eCommerce store with 2,000 product pages. Size affects how long audits take, how many pages need optimising and how many technical issues there are to find.

Condition matters just as much. A slow site, a site that breaks on mobile, or a site built so search engines struggle to read it may need fixing before SEO can do much. Sometimes that is a one-time technical project, and sometimes a rebuild is the better value. If you’re weighing that option, our guide to website development cost in Pakistan explains the development side.

Content and Link-Building Needs

Content means new or improved pages and articles that answer what your customers search for. Link building means earning links to your site from other relevant websites, which helps search engines judge your site’s authority. Both take skilled time. A plan that includes regular new content and careful link building will cost more than one limited to on-page fixes. That is usually the main difference between basic and mid-range plans.

Monthly Retainer vs One-Time SEO Audit vs Project Pricing

SEO in Pakistan is usually sold in one of three ways:

  • Monthly retainer. You pay a fixed monthly fee for ongoing work: optimisation, content, technical fixes, monitoring and reporting. This is the most commonly published model, and it is where the ranges above apply. It suits most businesses because search results change constantly and SEO results build over time.
  • One-time SEO audit. A provider reviews your site and hands over a list of problems and priorities. This helps if you have an in-house developer or marketer who can do the fixes, or if you want an honest diagnosis before committing to a retainer.
  • Project pricing. A fixed fee for a defined piece of work, such as a site migration, a technical clean-up or setting up SEO on a new website. It suits a clear, one-off job with a known end point.

Our pricing research did not cover one-time audit or project fees, so we haven’t quoted figures for them here. Ask any provider for a written scope with the price. A fixed fee is only meaningful if you know exactly what it covers.

Freelancer vs Agency SEO in Pakistan: Cost and Trade-offs

Freelancers usually cost less than agencies. The price gap reflects a difference in how the work gets done:

FreelancerAgency
Typical published pricePKR 20,000–50,000/monthPKR 50,000–120,000/month
Who does the workOne person covering all of itUsually a team, e.g. technical SEO, content, outreach
StrengthsLower cost, direct contact with the person doing the workWider skill set, cover if someone is unavailable, easier to scale up
RisksCapacity limits; gaps in skills such as technical SEO or content; no cover if they become unavailableHigher cost; you may deal with an account manager rather than the specialist
Good fit whenYour needs are local and fairly simpleYou need content, technical work and link building together, or you’re targeting a competitive market

Our view (we are an agency ourselves): a good freelancer is often a sensible choice for a single-location business with a small site. Once you need several skills working together each month, an agency tends to be the better value. Whichever you pick, judge them on the deliverables and reporting they commit to, not the title.

What You Should Get for Your Money

The checklist below is our own guide to what a reasonable scope looks like at each level. It is not an industry standard, but if a quote falls well short of this, ask why.

Basic plans (around PKR 25,000–50,000/month)

  • Google Business Profile set up and optimised (for local businesses)
  • Keyword research for a focused set of local or service keywords
  • On-page optimisation: titles, meta descriptions, headings and internal links on key pages
  • A monthly report showing what was done and how visibility is changing

Mid-range plans (around PKR 55,000–120,000/month)

  • Everything above, across more pages and keywords
  • Technical SEO: site speed, crawl errors, indexing and mobile issues
  • Ongoing content creation or optimisation
  • Some link building, usually in upper mid-range plans, done through relevant sites rather than bulk lists
  • Reporting that ties the work to traffic and enquiries, not just rankings

Enterprise / large-scale (around PKR 130,000+/month)

  • Everything above, at scale: large catalogues, multiple locations or several markets
  • A structured content plan and steady link-building effort
  • Competitor tracking and regular strategy reviews

Whatever the tier, you should always keep ownership of your website, Google Business Profile, Google Search Console and analytics accounts.

Warning Signs of Cheap SEO

A price well below the published ranges isn’t automatically a scam, but it usually means something has been left out, or the work is being done in ways that can hurt your site. Watch for these:

  • Guaranteed #1 rankings or first-page guarantees. No one controls Google’s results, so no one can honestly guarantee a ranking. An honest provider can commit to the work, not the position.
  • Bulk backlinks. Offers of hundreds of backlinks for a small one-off fee usually mean links from low-quality or spam sites. These can do more harm than good.
  • No reporting, or reports you can’t understand. You should be able to see what was done each month and why.
  • Vague deliverables. “We’ll do SEO” isn’t a scope. Ask for the specific tasks included.
  • Keeping your accounts. If a provider sets up your Google Business Profile or analytics under their own account and won’t hand over access, you are locked in.
  • Quick-results promises. Proper SEO takes months. Anyone promising top rankings in two weeks is usually either targeting keywords nobody searches for or using shortcuts.

How Long Before SEO Pays Off?

SEO builds results over several months, not weeks. Pakistani SEO providers commonly quote 3–6 months for noticeable results, and 6–12 months in competitive industries. How fast it happens for you depends on the same factors that drive the price: competition, your site’s starting condition and how much content and authority work goes in.

As a general guide:

  • First months: technical fixes, on-page work and setup. You may see early movement, especially for local and less competitive searches.
  • After that: content and authority building start to compound. Rankings, traffic and enquiries typically grow more steadily.
  • Competitive or national keywords usually take longer than local ones.

To judge whether SEO is paying off, compare your monthly fee with the value of the enquiries or sales that come from organic search, not with rankings alone. If you need enquiries immediately, paid ads through our digital marketing services can run alongside SEO while it builds.

FAQs

How much does SEO cost per month in Pakistan?

Based on published monthly SEO charges, the typical SEO cost in Pakistan ranges from about PKR 25,000 to PKR 120,000 per month. Freelancers typically charge PKR 20,000–50,000 and agencies PKR 50,000–120,000. Large or enterprise projects start around PKR 130,000 and can exceed PKR 250,000.

Is SEO worth it for a small business in Lahore?

It often is, when local customers search on Google for what you offer. Searches like “[service] near me” or “[service] in Lahore” often come from people close to buying, and local SEO is usually the most affordable type of SEO. It’s less useful if hardly anyone searches for your product or service, so check demand before committing.

Why do SEO prices vary so much between providers?

Because “SEO” covers very different amounts of work. Targeting one area vs all of Pakistan, a 5-page site vs a large store, and on-page fixes only vs regular content and link building all change the effort involved. Always compare quotes by scope, not by price.

Is local SEO cheaper than regular SEO?

Usually, yes. Local SEO focuses on a limited area and a smaller set of keywords, so it takes less work than national or international SEO. At SEO Prime Services, our most affordable plan is Local SEO at PKR 30,000/month, compared with PKR 55,000/month for Standard SEO.

Can you guarantee first-page rankings?

No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Search engines decide rankings, and their algorithms change regularly. What a provider can commit to is the work: a clear scope, sound methods and transparent monthly reporting.

How long does SEO take to show results?

Usually several months. Pakistani providers commonly quote 3–6 months, and 6–12 months in competitive industries. Local and less competitive searches can move sooner.
